Lately I have been heavy-hearted with the discourse in our country. With the manner in which hate and fear have become dominate overtones in the media and in many individuals' daily lives. The way religion has been used as a weapon to propagate this fear and violence. For a long time I have known that LOVE is the answer and I have believed that if I walk through our world with a frame of love that is enough, but now I seek more. I seek to move my love forward as action. Each religion has acts of love woven into their teachings and traditions. To remind my heart of this love, and find connection to love as an action through all faiths, I am starting a personal study. A study of love as action in spiritual texts and teachings both through the reading of spiritual literature and through conversations with these traditions' keepers and teachers. I am filled with excitement and anticipation for what this journey will bring and how it will open me to move forward with my love as an action in our world.
