Light is ahead

The path into the light seems dark,
the path forward seems to go back...

Every time I open this book I receive a message that is as relevant for today as it was when this wisdom was shared centuries ago. And today, like so many days in this world, seems dark. The aggression and hate fueling our politics is dark, it feels as if we’re being pulled backwards daily. But the Tao reminds us, THIS is the path to the light. The strongholds of harm, self interest, exclusionism, and moves to create self gain at the expense of others are taking their last breath and they are not releasing without a strong hold. Decency, love and urgency to care for our world and each other is rising, and it will rise above. I breathe in and remind myself to not let the darkness dampen my spirit, to not sink to the hate and fear spewed into our world, to RISE my love into action and to seek out others doing the same. Old systems are breaking apart, new systems are rising, it feels dark and the path seems long, but light is ahead.
